He did the same thing yesterday. He was going at it and as soon as I pulled out the cell from across the room to video he completely stopped! He is way too smart for sure.

You need a hidden camera or something. Got a computer in the same room? You could set up a webcam pointing in his direction and a hotkey so you could just sidle up and hit the key when the opportunity arrives.

Yes Im going to have to do something like that inorder for me to catch him/her in action.

Alex does a new thing now. at night when we put him in the cage he sticks his beak outside through the cage making these affectionate noises until either me or my wife nibble the outside of his beak. He stays their till we do so and then he crawls back to the back top of his cage to relax. This bird is way too funny! No new words as of yet.
