Default What's the weather like in your area?

We just went through a night of severe thunderstorms and tornadoes threatening. Luckily no tornadoes came through our little town, but other parts of Arkansas were hit badly. Today's just an ordinary dreary day.

We're like that too. I'd hate to live somewhere that I didn't get to see all the seasons. Heck we get them in a week LOL. We were up at 89 at the beginning of this week and then it plummeted to 41 in two days. You can never pack away that winter wardrobe completely. I was in shorts one day with the AC running and then last night had my thermals on and the heating going! I wouldn't miss the tornadoes though.

As for tornados we had our first one here in NY last fall. It did a lot of damage in my neighborhood. The tornado came by surprise and it even killed a person.

I know, they are awful. Where we are is in "Tornado Alley" so we get them a lot. Thankfully we've never been hit yet although it's been very very close. A little town about half an hour from us was practically flattened a few years ago. They had cows in trees and rubble everywhere.

We had moved here literally the day before and I was ready to not bother unpacking after that night. I was terrified listening to the surrounding winds on the outskirts of it and the radio saying what had happened there in the wee town. The announcer kept yelling to take cover now. That was really scary, especially when you know the vortex can turn your way at any minute.

SCOUT and Holly say thanks.

I'm new to blogging, not sure where I am going with it yet, but it forces me to use my brain.

Under our first tornado warning of the year this afternoon. Thought it was going to stay north of us but not sure yet. I hate it when that happens.

And it's hot and humid. Makes my brain run even s-l-o-w-e-r...
